Carrara Marble Bathroom

Only 2 years after having a new bathroom with Travertine tiles installed a leaking shower and ugly repairs by the original contractor caused the homeowner to consider drastic action. Fortunately, Porcel-Thin and approved tiling contractor, Marc Tiling, arrived to save the day!

The client had originally asked Marc to completely rip out the original bathroom, including the Travertine wall and floor tiles.  A time consuming and costly task.  Knowing that client wanted to replace the tiles with marble Marc suggested that they take a look at Porcel-Thin’s ultra-thin Carrara marble effect porcelain tile which, as the walls were sound and due to their light weight, could be fixed over the top of the existing Travertine on the walls and floors.  The client loved the Porcel-Thin Carrara marble tiles and was delighted that Marc’s solution would save them money and take less time to complete.

The shape of the room, with sloping ceilings and features such as recesses behind the shower, presented many challenges.  This is exactly the type of tiling project that Marc relishes and he went to great lengths mitring tiles to avoid using ugly tile trims and to ensure that every detail was perfect.  Suffice to say that the client was delighted with the finished bathroom and we think that the quality of the workmanship and overall look of the finished room complete with our marble effect porcelain tiles speaks for its self.
